Only thing I hear is it will be running a have Hemi V8 and 6060 (with a option of automatic) It will also use a version of the Penstar V6. After that, it gets gray quickly. I have heard both that it may use a modified Viper Chassis or it could use the new Chassis for the 300/Charger. No doubt it's meant to be someting that can take on Mustang AND mid-model Vette. This allows them to contiue to push the Viper into higher price points and higher performance.

If it's going to have a 426hemi with a 8sp auto, This just might be my next car if I can slap a S/C or turbo's on it.

Neither...Challenger. And don't expect that to make it past 2013. Cuda will have a backseat and the LX platform has a different transmission tunnel than the LC chassis the current Challenger sits on. Which *****, cause I wish the LX's came with 6-speeds and not the NAG1. If the Challenger didn't have the best true exterior styling out of the three, the only thing left it would have to sell is it's name. Weight, less horsepower are the two biggest complaints I hear about the car. The Mustang will be getting another make over soon.

The most accurate info I've seen is on ALLPAR. 6.2 HEMI Supercharged , 8speed , same platform as Maserati , Cuda is the first of that Platform :)

Heard it will be on a smaller platform, and totally different car than Challenger/Charger.

Should really give the Mustangs and Camaro's a run for their money.

No Cuda exists at this point, only the concept for one in the future. First they need to make a business case, then look at the platforms available, then execution.

Mr. Norm has produced some Cuda kits for Challengers that look pretty nice. Believe others will make aftermarket Cuda kits.

Will be years before a factory Cuda hits the streets, then maybe a little more before SRT gets their version out.

We are way ahead of the curve here.

A much better looking Barracuda [imo] is shown in the Oct issue of car and Driver pg 20. If I knew how to post a pic I would. Article states SRT brand will make go/nogo decision early next year. Hope it is produced as I would buy one to add to my Mopars if the following were true; max wt 3500 lbs, Hemi with 525 hp min, paddle shifters, optional rear gears, exterior similar to pg 20.

Hope that pic isn't it. If it doesn't look like a Cuda, why call it a Cuda?

I thought the SRT Barracuda concept picture I saw was more like the smaller fastback Cuda's of the 60's

Here's the 'cuda conversion (developed by Autoform - AFR) that was done on my 2012 SRT-8 Challenger:

We are still working on the spoiler design so that is why one picture has a black spoiler (custom) and the other one has the stock red spoiler. I have also added an original looking "hemi 'cuda" emblem to the shaker hood since the picture. This car is still somewhat of a work in progress as Steve at AFR wants to develop 1971 OEM hemi style valve covers and install a supercharger that will work with the shaker. The car gets a lot of attention... Sometimes more than my silver Gen 3 Viper did (probably because the silver blends into the crowd a little more than other color Vipers).
