Here is the email I recieved this AM from the ferrari club.
Pete

Well, that was a close call... Due to some major personnel changes at Panoz MT, our tour plans almost slipped through the cracks (which is why this reminder is so late). We can all thank Dr. Panoz's assistant for making it all happen for us. There might be some minor glitches, but we are still on for Saturday! They seem quite excited for true enthusiasts to see what they are up to.

We had about 40 people RSVP for this event, including our friends at the Viper, Porsche, Corvette and Fiat-Lancia clubs. With the impending weather, this day might not be the sports-car show extravaganza we had hoped for. In any case, we will still meet as scheduled and have our fun indoors. Don't worry about which car you come in, we understand... This is a family event anyway.

At 10am Saturday morning, I will be parked as close as possible to the Chateau Elan entrance. If I chicken out and don't drive my Black Ferrari 328, I will be in a blue Explorer and will have a black & white BBS Motorsport umbrella (from when I built the BBS Wheel Headquarters next to Road Atlanta in '91). We will wait until 10:45 before leaving for Elan Motorsports and taking a final headcount for lunch. My cell number is 770/ 652-2273 if you get lost or show up late.
John & Natalie Delvac

Schedule:
10:00am - 10:45am: General Gathering at Château Élan entrance to talk about cars and get a final lunch count.
11:00am - 12:00am: Tour Élan Motorsports Technologies' Race-Car Division
12:30pm - 1:30pm: Lunch at *****'s Authentic Irish Pub, Château Élan (you pay)
2:00pm - 3:00pm: Tour Panoz Auto Development Company (Street Cars)
3:30pm - 4:00pm: Tour the Road Atlanta Racing Shop

 I just got in from the Panoz tour today! We had a great turn-out, probably over 50 people were there! Panoz is now building an IRL open wheel car and the composite shop is "state of the art"! We then went to the Irish Pub for lunch and some "bench talk" before going to the street car factory.

Danny Panoz was at the automobile factory to show us around. His sports car is named the Esperante and has an Alumium body with a lot of Composite parts for stiffeners and re-inforcements! You probably know the drive train is Ford Cobra and this year they are offering the super-charged 395 HP engine boosted to 420HP.

After the shop tour we went over to the track and visited the sports car racing shop! Again the car set up is "state of the art" with "paddle shifting" and the steering wheel looked like something out of Formula 1!!!

Many Ferrari's, some Vipers, a couple of Vettes, and a Porsche braved the weather ( no rain all day) and showed up for the day! I made some new friends and visited with many others whom I have meant at other events!

Cya @ the track

Great turnout for the Panoz tour this weekend, 54 total showed, with 22 GA VCA members & guests.
Thanks to Panoz for the tour & we can now cheer on ex Viper champ Olivier Berreta who is now driving the Panoz LMP car.

Next week Road Atlanta Track day.
