Paxton tensioner question.

Has anyone seen this tensioner on a paxton setup before? I am in the process of rebuilding a paxton charged 98 GTS , I was not building any boost so I decided to check the belt tension on the blower. I find this tensioner that keeps pushing the tensioner pulley crooked, blower makes alot of noise at idle; from what I have read the paxton is very quiet at idle or low rpms. So I am guessing the belt is slipping? tightened the tensoner and I am getting a little bit better boost now, around 4psi. But this tensioner is jacked up, I tighten the pulley nut to the point that I feel it may break? maybe I need a DLM tensioner? any input? Thanks

That doesn't look good. Maybe replace the bolt that passes through the pulley with a higher grade bolt? Seems to be flexing, has too much cantilever force against it.

Get the DLM tensioner. The paxton one is a bad design.
