First warm day of the year here (upper 70's). Yipee! After driving a while, no real hard driving but lots of stop and go (okay a few bursts but not too much!), I found the underhood quite warm. I can't say it is any hotter than previous, and the coolant temp was pegged at 200 the whole time.
The concern I have is the temperature of the fuel lines. They were all HOT! All parts of the fuel system into the fuel pumps, the pressure regulator and the line to the fuel rail. Should this be a concern, and if so what can be done about it? Insulation, etc. Thoughts? With all that fuel pressure I am somewhat concerned about a fuel system failure so any ideas to make it safer would be appreciated.
