Has anyone who has a Paxton car run open track events with it? Are their cooling issues? Failures? I drive my '06 pretty ******* the track now as a DE car when Iam not running my Comp Coupe. Thanks!

No Paxton related issues at all. I have had ABS failure (wheel speed sensor due to overheat), that may be related to higher terminal speed prior to braking, thus increasing brake temps. I have also had oiling issues. I have been overfilling by about 1 qt to prevent the left hand turn issue. That has worked pretty well. However, I have had oil coming out of the fill cap on multiple occasions. Note I use sport cups which have a little more grip on the track.

I should note that all of my track times have been at moderate ambient temps. No hot day events to note if there are heat related issues. I plan on installing a larger intercooler as I have noticed some power drop off as it gets hot.

Thanks for the feedback. I just found out though that the Paxton is not CA emision legal. I may have to register the car at my home in Las Vegas if its legal there.

If you read the Paxton ad in your VCA magazine they say right in the ad in the fine print that 2003 and up is not CARB legal and that they are pending approval.
