i applied for my personalized plates last December. i never heard back from the secretary of state, so i figured they were taken. when i went into my garage yesterday to retrieve my mail, i found a letter from the sec't of state dated from January of this year. my request had been approved and the letter had been lying on my garage floor all year. i hope it's still available: GETBIT

They probably won't let me have STUPID... but it says a lot... for instance as I pull away from some ricer.... "that was stupid of you to try and take me on"...... or "Are you stupid or what.. it's a Viper"... or "yeah I'm stupid to spend the money on a Viper but..." or.... "yep it's STUPID fast".

I have a plate that a girlfriend bought for me about 20 years ago. DMV has tried to recall it but they can't unless I turn it in. LUGNAF Lets Us Get Naked And F---. She tried to get LAGNAF but it was already taken. It has been recalled and they won't reissue it.

Keep in mind that sometimes you can successfully appeal your state's initial rejection of your application. I did.

I chose SURLY 1 because it fits the car perfectly and won't get me into too much trouble with the law. In fact most people ask me "What's surly?".

Def: imperious, overbearing, bad tempered, arrogant. Just plain BADASS!
