I borrowed a friend's digital SLR and took some test shots of some friend's cars over the weekend, so I thought I'd share. If anyone wants a high-res version, PM me and I can hook it up.

Note: It was really dark in the parking garage, so there is a little noise on a few of the midtones of some of these, but you get the idea!

HLN, this was actually SUPPOSED to be a test shoot. We were just going to pile into a truck and check lighting and make sure we were going to have access to power for our lamps, but Jason and Chris wound up taking their cars anyway since it wasn't monsooning yet on Saturday. Chris has a camera and so do I (temporarily), so we thought we'd try our hand at photographing some cars before trying to set up a formal location shoot for the club. After we get some decent shots we'll pitch it to the guys and see if anyone is interested. You in Sebring or what, torquemonster? You sign up for Harris Hill?

Mr. Spray, I haven't talked to Frog yet. He said Ryan had the top, but Ryan said it didn't work 100% (one of the latches or something doesn't work). I need to give Ryan a buzz to see what's up with it and see how broken it is, but from what he said it sounds minor. Thanks for the reminder!

The B/W looks Stunning under the fluorescent lights.

I gotta ask though; Why are the prowlers doors open in every pic? Im sure it looks much better with them closed showing off the smooth complete lines.

This was just a test shoot. We were just seeing how the lighting was working and didn't even park the cars like that on purpose; it was all ad libbed. We just shut 'em down and busted out the cameras.

Weather permitting we're going to go for some more intentional shots this weekend. I'll pass along your request for some smoother pics!

Nice photos. The rich color comes out great. I personally like the stance of the first photo of the viper and the way the light highlights the edges. Maybe a little lower shot and see the streamline of the side a little more. Like the way the tire is turned in. Also my preference is for the solo shots. I think that is why you liked the shot you choose is like that only add a little wheel blink in there. Thanks for sharing them with us. I'm trying to get some shots on the forum. Not working to well. Got up to the smile faces and then it just doesn't seem to post.
