Whew...It's been a very long road...

I bought a 2003 SRT10 6 weeks ago..Thats right 6 weeks ago...

The car was a 9.5 on a scale of 1-10.... A truck had lightly backed up into the cars bumper and put 3 still body color scratches on the bumper as well as 3 still body color scratches on the hood and a very small crack on one headlight..

This was all so small that I didnt notice it till the third time I looked at the car...

I bought the car any way ancd then the owner who owns a reputable shop here told me to give him two weeks and he would repaint the bumper/hood and fix the head light for free...

I thought long and hard because i wanted the car I had just bought right now..But then thought in the long run i would be happy to have a pefect exterior viper..And I agreed...

He initially said 2 weeks....Well 2 weeks ended up being 6 weeks....

But finally today I received a call saying it's done...

He took a long time but he also scored me two brand new rear tires for free...And helped me to get the remaining 1 year warranty uder my name at the dodge dealership...

So all in all....As long as my car looks good 3 hours from now...Ill be a happy man..

I'm interested in learning more about that titanium exhaust. Is that all custom, or does someone out there do a titanium setup for gen III and IV cars? I would expect it to be a little raspy, but given the option, I'd certainly go for that over a stainless setup...

titanium exhaust was all custom...I believe it was done by a neutral friend in japan who visits quite a few times per year..

The whole exhaust weighs 12 pounds from what I was told

I picked her up....

First impression is that the lowered ( eibach) yellow with the 2008 hood and black rims is the best looking viper Ive seen to dater ( out of the hole 7 of them ive seen in real life)...

Second impression is that a lowered srt10 is very easy to drive..Sitting an inch lower I had no scrapes in 80 miles of driving today...

-the eibachs Im told make the car handle better but this is a rough ride..A bit rougher than stock...

Car has a kenwood flat screen inside with all these kool gizmos that I wasnt expecting...All push screen stuff and pretty awesome..

I just got on her in third from 30-120 mph..Pulled very strong and actually scared the crap outta me...Car is said to be around 490 rwhp....But being that Ive been driving my van or 310 rwhp nsx for the past 2 years 490 rwhp felf extremely fast...

Brakes as always on the srt10 are amazeing....

My friend in a yellow C6Z06 will meet me tonight for a cruise and pics..Ill post the yellow with yellow tonight..

Be very careful going over bumps at high speeds with the Eibachs. It can be a little light in the front end :(

Congrats on your new ride. Im surprised how many new Viper owners there are here each week. Other cars, new and used are not selling at all yet the Viper seems like it is doing well in this market.

Enjoy, be safe. Looking forward to the pics.

Anytime you can get a 2003 srt10 for 35-40K it's gonna sell..Hell of a lot of car for that price...My 2003 srt10 back in 2007 cost me 54K...And that was one of the better deals I could find.....Same car with the same mods and miles now would be 39K

OK......Did the following...

-leather cleaner on the interior..Interior is in excellent condition..

-washed the exterior and rims...Exterior painted in full 18 months ago and rims painted black two weeks ago...Exterior is in excellent condition...

-Detailed the engine and the engine looks great..

-2008 hood under neigth black screens poorly done..Looks like they were gonna put on the underneath 2008 padding to cover the JB weld used to hold on the 6 black screens but never found it or got to it? Im gonna by some black sound deadener or what ever nice looking material I can and put it around the 6 screens covering this....

-Spacers in engine bay used to prop up fenders a 1/4 inch..Looks like the 2008 aftermarket hood was a poor fit and they had to adjust the fenders to make it look perfect...Some of the spacers were sticking out some and I gently tapped them in to be even and unseen...

-some screws are not the black plastic clips from the factory and just regular silver screws...Easy fix..Ill just buy a pack and make it happen..

-4 way emergency lights are inop..the car has some aftermarkey brake lights that look like jet engines..Very awesome but I wonder if this has to do with the 4 way?????

-passanger window makes noise on up/down motion and a loud "pop" when in place...Should be covered under my warranty....

So far very happy...The 2008 hood looks amazing other than the underside....The rest of the stuff is very simple...

Been waiting for my friend to post pics of the yelow z06 and yellow srt10 all day...Ill take my lazy but out side and snap some pics of the things Im talking about
