as many know ive finally pulled the trigger. i put eibach springs and partsracks lowering caps on my 05 SRT. i was getting lots of negative feedback about doing this but i thought i do it anyway and spare me $5000 on motons. BTW guys with the neg feedback where did you get your info from? did you actually know someone who had this set up? i dont think so! my car sits just perfect. there are no rubbing issues whatsoever (i weigh 180lbs). i drove over many bumps and dips and over 80mph and no issues at all. the car handles just like a lowered car should. very stiff and very responsive and yes you do feel the road a bit more but that comes with the territory even with motons. i dont race my car (seriously) or ever do 100mph around a bank or a turn and im sure 8-10 motons guys never do either. if my shocks ever go like many have said, then ill just buy a used set from you moton guys. overall very satisfied for under $1000 to do this. will have it tried out a limerock this weekend and have more feedback.

It looks good and will drive decent, but will handle nothing like Motons. And you will probably blow your stock shocks. That being said, if all you were looking for was a lowered look and cant afford the Motons, then that looks like a good alternative.

you cant compare apples with oranges, and i know that. yes it will not handle as well as motons, but how often do you actually get the benefits out of the motons? twice a year at a track event if that? i just wanted the lowered look. it handles pretty well to me if not a bit better than stock. i just couldnt justify spending $5000 on a suspension that i wouldnt appreciate..

Looks great. My coupe sits a lil higher in the rear even after the eibachs. Maybe I'll install the caps on the rear only. NYC streets have gotten smoother? John

Your setup looks awesome. I have several sets of stock shocks if you ever need them. Take it easy on the track if you did not add bump stops.

Cheers

How much $ for just the springs? And how low will it drop without the caps? Your's look bad-ass...but probably too low for the streets around where I live. Thx.

not too low at all. i drive the car in NYC and no problems. with just springs 1" all around and they sell for around $350. spring caps from jon b at www.partsrack.com will lower it just a bit more.

thanks man. if i were to get new wheels they would be a HRE 19" with an R lip and I would powder coat the whole rim EVEN the lip. that wold look so bad ass with yellow callipers. yellow stripe around the rims of the wheel would look phat as well. very euro juts like on lambos and such.
