Oh hells ya! Was beyond a good day!

Tracking and I are badly intertwined now.

Also got a ride at full race speed in a comp coupe piloted by Kuno. Best day ever!!!!

And I will add pics too when I get home. Took 611 today plus 4 hours of footage.

The Pitt race started on Friday night with what was to be a "quick" meeting. It turned out that Jim Stout had Lee Carducci of Arrow Racing Engines come and give a presentation! For those of you that were not there, you missed out big time!!! The more I get to meet engineering related to SRT the more Iw would love to just sit and listen for hours!!

After the meeting it was time for a few laps to get the feel of the course as well as do a inspection for debris, etc. My compliments to the track workers. This track was beyond amazing!

After the lap it was time for the classroom session for the newbies (like me). While in there the cars were parked in a nice little row.....

Now, speaking of comp coupes. At lunch there was a Charity Ride. For $25 you could have a ride with Kuno or Kathy in their comp coupe. You can bet I paid the $25!!!!

My thoughts after the comp coupe ride? I have such a new respect for the guys and gals that drive these cars. The skills they have to navigate a track at that speed is amazing! Going into a corner at 150 MPH is amazing! And the brakes....OMG. I love that feeling!!! And the corner G forces! Beyond fun! And the curves of the track as the rpm is building and the smell of race gas wafting in the air......... The sights as they blow past you. The vibration of the engine screaming a sweet song into your ears! Oh hells ya!! I want more!!!! I think I want to do this again!!! Oh no! I am a track rat!



Best of all I am so impressed by SRT. Out street Vipers are good. But unless you have experienced taken them to the track, you really dont know what you have there! And a comp coupe, you dont have the slightest idea of what these forks at SRT are capable of until you ride in one of these!



And thats it! Until the videos get edited!

Just a thank you to the folks who helped put this together, to the instructors that rode with me and ensured my first track day was beyond fun, and to Jim and Kathy for opening up their track again for the OH Chapter to come out and play!

I can say for sure, I will be back next year! I think I just became a track rat!
