Does anyone make a piggy-back PCM unit for the SRT? (something cheaper than a VEC2 and something that doesn't dump the air-conditioner, like the Mopar unit) ???

We offer the Dastech piggy back controller and it is easy to install and use. We average 30 to 40 additional HP with the tuning avalible. Call me with any questions.

The VEC2 seems too complicated at any price. I've had custom tuning done before -- not great results.

1) the dyno does not represent street conditions
2) If I make more mods, the tune becomes worthless
3) I don't want to fiddle with it

I want to plug something in that is better than stock -- take it out when I may have service work done -- and otherwise be done with it

the Dastek seems like it too requires a custom tune since they don't offer plug'n play for an SRT Viper

Vipermann,

We have installed the apexi S-afc on my Viper prior to TT, and 2 customers vipers, with excellent results. It's a pretty slick unit and does a great job.

I originally posted a web page of do it yourself instructions that I created, but have taken down my old cmperformance website as I have changed it to www.f1dyno.com, and have not had a chance to put the instructions up on the new site. If you want to try this yourself, I can dig up the instructions and send them to you. It would be slightly diff your your car, but easy to do.

This sounds very interesting, but 'easy to install' is a relative concept ... I'm generally looking for things that are idiot-proof ... How easy is 'easy'?
