I'm getting ready to change out my coolant and I know that I need a 5/16" male pipe plug (square) for the cylinder block drain plugs. I also realize that the cooling system bleed plug on the thermostat housing takes a 3/16" male pipe plug (square), but I'm not going to remove that one.

I wanted to know if these types of plugs, female and male, are prevalent on my viper (2001 RT/10). I know that the oil and transmission drain plugs aren't this type. The reason that I ask is I can purchase the 5/16" male pipe plug for around $10

I bought the set. As a set they are much cheaper than purchased individually and even if I only use one I like the insurance and convenience of having a complete set handy.

The Viper only uses one for the block plugs, I never use the thermostat housing bleed as it is usually frozen and will break off.
