Went out on a 250 mile drive today and on the way home the engine light went on and off a few times seems to be when brakeing..
Also when going from 4th to 5th some times the gear stick would go over into the reverse gate,But i thought we had a reverse lock out solinoide.
When i got home checked oil and it was low could this be the cause of the engine light coming on under braking?
Many thanks :2tu: :2tu:

The engine Light (not check engine) goes on for two reasons either too hot or not enough oil pressure (see your manual). My 93 viper does not have reverse lock out. I am pretty sure neither does your 94. It looks as though you have the MGW shift knob as your signature says "all mgw stuff" So you know that the shift knob makes for more accurate shift throws. If you don't have the shift knob I would run out and buy it. That’s my 2 cents.

Yup, low oil. Happened to me and I called JonB, he told me low oil, don't you see? Got an oil change and cured the problem, he can explain why it does this in a Gen I.

Both these problems are usually caused by 17" wheels, you need to change to 18's :)

(ha-ha) Never said road coarse and if I recall right(may be wrong) 18's on a Gen II have a wider tire than on Gen I's. My offer still stands for a comparison. Any takers?

Also, newer model owners don't like to admitting getting outran.
