Just wanted to say how impressed I was with the products I ordered from MGW. The quality of the pieces, the packaging, and the instructions were first rate. I installed them all in less than 1 hour.
Satin Aluminum Ash Tray: Beautiful piece of machinery. 10-second installation. Not much storage space (too small to put my house keys in) but I love the look.
Satin Aluminum A/C Knobs: 30-second install. Nice looking addition. Gets rid of the plastic standard looking Dodge issue knobs.
First Strike Shift Knob: This is my favorite! 10-minute install. Only hard part was loosening the stock lock nut. It was very very tight (either that or I need to spend more time in the gym). The knob is beautiful and the shifting action is much improved. It feels nice and tight now. Even better than the B&M I have in my Boxster S.
Satin Aluminum License Plate Frame: 10-minute install. Beautiful! Solid and beefey looking without being heavy. Best looking license plate frame I've seen. I wish MGW made one for my Porsche and BMW.
Satin Aluminum Sill Plates: These were the hardest to install. Took around 30-minutes or so. Actually took around 25 minutes for the 1st one and only 5-minutes for the 2nd one since I knew how to do it. The stock plastic plugs are hard to remove. There are two clips 180 degrees apart that hold them in. You need to push these in with a butter knive or other flat tool and pry the plug off. Or you can do the "destructive" removal as the instructions suggest since you'll likely never put them back in, and even if you do they are only around 50 cents each. Me being the anal person I am had to try to remove them without damage. The next step is to secure the plate to the sill using the screws and washer nuts. It was a bit hard to get the sill plate aligned properly and still get both washers to grab the sill below. This took a little playing with to get it right. After doing the 1st one the 2nd one was much easier. My only suggestion to MGW would be to use some sort of threaded insert into the stock holes (where plugs were removed) and screw the plates into the inserts, this in lieu of the washer nuts trying to clamp the underside of the sill. The sill plates are beautiful and well made. They do get a bit hot though.
All in all everything was well made and installed easily. Each piece was thouroughly wrapped and/or boxed for protection and indentification. Highly recommended.
