GTS, Black with that new dark blue for stripes (if they add that color as a stripe) or gunmetal stripes. Black interior.

Dave, are you getting a new one?

The results so far are exactly what I thought we'd see. ACR and Vert are necessary for at least 50% of current Vipers owners to want to make the switch.

Coupe/Vert/Targa/ACR -with some widebody work. It doesn't have to be the GTS-R, but just use that concept toned down. Add just a few inches to the overall width instead of 6". That's reasonable.

So, to add fuel to the ACR fire, I emailed the dealer who has my viper deposit about cancelling and waiting for the ACR instead (thinking it was more than a year out). He responded and said that he would be getting the build schedule shortly, but that the ACR would be built this coming year. I'm not sure how speculative this is, but thought it good news for prospective ACR owners, FWIW.

I do not know much of the history of the Vipers and how they released models but most other manufacturers do not release all their models the same year. I would think they would stage it to keep the interest going. First year = coupe, second year = vert, 3rd year-= ACR.
You Vipers "connaisseurs" can chime in on what occurred in the past.

Gunmetal gray GTS with silver or black stripes. Carbon accents, gunmetal gray wheels, red/black interior. Basically the Viper version of my previous Z06.

That's the first time anyone has mentioned that, like to hear Bill P chime in. I really doubt that.
I think SRT has enough on their plate with the coupes never mind all the additional testing for an ACR.
Hell they pushed the starting build date back to December now.

If anyone would know he would.

Yah, I agree with both previous posts. I'm more than a little skeptical, and think the dealer is trying to hold onto the money. But, we should have more concrete details in a month or two, and should know more then.

I'm a little hesitant to reveal the dealer, as I don't want to throw anyone under the bus for revealing information that perhaps they weren't supposed to. Do you guys think it is a big deal or no? Not having been a previous Viper owner, I don't want to rock the boat or get anyone in trouble.

Since you're new, here's some advice :
Do NOT reveal the Dealer as you may get in BIG trouble !
That is untill you get initiated and know the "secret code"!
LOL

I know you are just sassing me, but you have to admit there has been a huge veil of secrecy around just about every aspect of this car. As a newcomer, I really don't want to step on any toes or put someone in an awkward position, given the 'mucho hush hush' atmosphere.

Initiation completed, the "Secret code" will be PM'd to you !!

Well I have an ACR now so no need to change. I would take the ACR in GTS Blue with Black stripes again. Plain black interior.

Bruce

Will the ACR be built off the GTS or the SRT model?

They can't just slap a wing on the GTS or SRT and call it an ACR.
It will have to be different looking (hopefully substantially) than either model so as to be immediately obvious what it is.
Hopefully lighter, wider and with more HP.
You know GM will be coming out with an upgraded C7 ZR1 and the Gen 5 ACR has to kill it in every way or it fails.

Word.

This post makes me wonder what Chevy wants to do as an answer to the new Viper. Z06 has been a highly respected car and the ZR1 was impressive as well.
