porter cable 7424

Does anyone have the quick and easy skinny on the correct use of the 7424? I just bought it, but want to use it w/ confidence. Got it through coastaltool.com for $119 The standard white pad and the 6" hook and loop. What does the hook and loop do? Where can i get the more specific white, black and yellow pads?

my roomate just bought one as well. Pls try www.autopia.org there is alot of discussion there but didn't find a comprehensive guide on 7424. I think one of the editors is working on one though...

Hook and loop is a non brand way of saying VELCRO.

FWIW, I got a 7336SP at Lowe's. $109. Already has the 6" counterweight and is the same as the 7424.
