Are you sure they are a 597 R wheel? They don't look like they have the R (Reverse smooth Lip ). In the pics they look like the traditional 547 HRE wheels with the step on the lip. None the less a very good looking wheel.

I'll try and make it out there. If I do, I'll come say hello.

Hey Austin,

I go to the car show at Kemah on Saturday nights occasionally. I may be there tomorrow night. Come on out if you can. And thanks for your comments.

thanks...it was composed with Photomatix Pro...its a software that composes bracketed exposures into an hdr image...you can get some really nice results as long as the original photos are good...

Thanks! I will be putting my 94' up for sale early next year, so the wheels are already posted in the classifieds, for what I think is a killer deal.

Whats the major visual cues to clue you into a 1st gen vs 1.5 (first I heard of that is in this thread) vs a 2nd gen.

I noticed some have fog covers, but some dont ... and the hood vents ---

The Gen 1.5 was a 96 model year RT-10 with the Gen I engine, Gen II upgraded aluminum suspension. Visual differences are no side exhaust, first year for rear exhaust on the RT-10. Also, the Gen 1.5's will all have smoothie hoods (no vents or nacca ducts). Several of the Gen 1.5 RT-10s had saber tipped stripes, stripes that come to a point on the hood and dont go through the front fascia. Also 96 Rt-10's are going to be Black with silver stripes silver wheels(261 made), Red with yellow wheels (166 made) or white with blue stripes, white wheels (324 made). All Gen I and Gen 1.5 models had the fog lamp covers. If you see them off that is because people took them off. I took them off my 95 as I can't stand the look of them.

Also Gen 1.5's had the 5 spoke wheels and Gen I's from the factory had the triangular 3 spokers.
