So I think my car has finally succumbed to the dreaded power steering fitting leak. I recently saw a small puddle under the car and checked my normal oil leak places that I have fixed and they still seem dry, but I noticed the pump looks fairly dirty and a little wet, so I'm pretty sure that's the issue. I did a quick search and have seen the repair service offered to original lines and the parts required to do it, but was wondering if anyone had moved to an AN style fitting or similar. One thread did have a link to what appeared to be aftermarket hoses, but the link was dead. Is there something out there to update these lines to a more positive seal or do I just need to replace the factory setup with a new one?

Okay, might have answered my own question, but wouldn't mind some feedback. Looks like I might have been looking in the wrong place. Found the JTSVP kit, but that's it so far. Have seen mixed reviews on them, but mostly positive. Looks like they are still around as a company, so I guess that's one option. Any others out there? I'd prefer to only replace the one line instead of both, but I guess I need to check them all and make sure it's only the one leaking.

I don't have any experience on the car, but plenty of experience with the Viper trucks. JTSVP is your best bet in replacing those lines for reducing vehicle down time. If down time doesn't matter you can have a local hydraulic shop make you a new line as well. I have had dozens of sets of the oil cooler lines made a local shop here using the factory disconnects but putting a steel braided line in place of the rubber hose.

Just know with JTSVP, there is absolutely no warranty on the PS lines(at last check). He's great to work with until you need something from him, then the tone changes. He has good products including the PS lines. I know some have found local shops that can build the lines cheaper

EDIT: I take back my previous statement, he is working with me as we speak.

Yeah, that's what I was seeing as well, though I'm not sure if that is ultimately a problem to me or not. I might just try to take apart what I have and asses the issue. Looks like I might be able to get the quick connect apart with a tool, so that might be my first approach. If it's just a matter of polishing the tube and replacing the o-ring that would be my first answer as it requires nothing but a little time. The car has made it 92,000 miles so far without much issue (50k of my own miles), but with track time looming next year I'll need to do something about it. I'd just buy adapters and make some AN lines if I had an idea what adapter to use, but I figured there might be something out there already.

I bought the JTSVP steering lines, had a shop install them when my pump went out....and have no problems. Been 6 months so far. My OEM were oozing and wet from leaking.

The JTS lines are great and he has a new fitting for them, much better than the oem one, most of the problem that you see with the after market lines is that they get over torqued and on the old fitting the rubber washer gets damage. With the new fitting that won't happened

For anyone who has had the failure happen, was there by chance any sort of a heads up that it is was about to happen? The reason I ask is I am getting a bounce in my steering lines when I turn hard and the fluid is cold. I can hear a 'swish' in the lines and all of a sudden it jumps and you can feel it in the steering wheel. It is almost like there is an air pocket in the steering lines. Anybody ever had this?
