I saw a picture with the tubing on top. Do they have a common problem of squirting out the relief hole in the top or something?

There is an aftermarket mod with a 2 inch flex tube clamped to the cap and to a 10-12 inch J shaped steel or aluminum pipe tube. The J-tube is supposed to stop the cap from unscrewing off since it would turn with the cap and stop when it hit the tank. That is all that is for. However, if you just tighten the cap as tight as you can, then it will take a channel-lock pliers to loosen.

Wouldn't call it a common problem, but an issue for certain types of driving (e.g., high rpm) where the fluid overheats or otherwise expands/froths out the vent onto the exhaust headers and igniting a fire.

So I've seen this part. I just looked it up (Is Roe the only one that makes it?) and it's $26. Seems like a lot for just a tube. If I could find a bent tube like that I could make my own for less than $5.

Lemme think a minute: Routing hot power steering fluid via a tube down to the ground, [dripping under your tires] is _ _ _ _ .

Cleaning and drying the threads of both the PS cap and PS reservoir with shop towel, and tightening cap with that towel, is all you need. This ASSumes good, clean synthetic fluid, not overfilled. And a clean PS cooler is important too.

PS Fluid Viper Fires is an urban legend..... I've seen ONE supposed, and that was questionable, on a dirty engine. There is/was a HUGE discussion thread on here somewhere on ignition-point temps of PS vs other fluids.... really!
