Thanks for the info Cooran,

Many ppl on this board already have them installed for both driver and passenger as well as trunk "pops". Cost is about $150 U.S. Dollars. Can be done at any car stereo sales shop. Trouble is, when one malfunctions, your in for it! (Happened to me..) Ever try and see someone crawl in through the open window?

My local garage fitted a solenoid to the lock then tapped into
the spare channel on the alarm module, using the standard remote
to gain entry. There's a cable wired to the lock passing through the door into the engine bay with a key attachment which allows the lock to be pulled open incase of remote failure. Parts £20.00, labour 1.5 hours

I have a couple of questions about this. What brand of alarm/door-pop are people using for this? Isn't there an option of a manual-type pop in case the remote dies?

just so no one goes out and buys a 96 RT10, and thinks that it should have come with outside door handles. The outside door handles are not available until the start of the 97 RT10 or 96 GTS.
