I have chnaged the engine oil out to royal purple, and the brakes to ATE Super Blue.

What do you track buffs recommend for

Rear Diff
Tranny
Power Steering - Redline?
Clucth
Others?

How much of each will i need?

Rear Diff - Mopar with friction modifier (2 Qts? capacities in service manual)

Tranny - Mopar - slaughter has a fluids matrix somewhere with the correct P/Ns for this and the above.

PWR Steering - Redline - a couple of quarts for a flush. Use the (**** out the reservoir, refill, cycle steering, repeat, repeat method - less messy and you don't introduce leaks that aren't already there...)

Clutch - regular brake fluid

Where's slaughter's chart????

Slaughter sent me his chart, good info. Thanks janni!

Is ATE Super Blue ok for the clutch? Thats what i have always used for my brakes(Blue or Red depending on what color i have in the car)

Looks like i'll be hitting the dodge dealership tomorrow when i drop the car off to have the 998 recall done.

And then a big fluid changing day!

There's been lots of discussion on this topic over the years. Forget all that other stuff and go with Amsoil Synthetic products for the engine, transmission and differential. It get's the highest marks for quality, world wide.

And just why would he do that?

The Mopar fluids are run consistently in ALL the Viper Racing League cars and THEY WORK. Those that don't use stock fluids (like in a Quaiffe diff) use Redline.

What are you running in your track car? How long have you been running it? WHY is this better than what the other track and race cars have been running?

I am sure Amsoil has some reasonable and acceptable products, but for extreme duty of a track car, I want something that's proven.

I also recall Tom saying some not so flattering things about the way Amsoil represents their test data. Not to say the stuff is no good, just that the supposed benefits are a bit overstated.
