Previous Owners?

Is there any way to track down previous owners to get some history,documentation, etc.

With the last car I bought, I Googled the VIN and found some history that way. It helped me greatly in tracking down the original owner. I also did the same for another member and found out the car went through a salvage auction at one time. Carfax works in some cases, but be sure to Google it too! If some results pages don't display when you click them, refer to the "Cached" version.

In most states you can go to the DMV and pay for a title history on any vehicle which will give you information on previous owner(s)....just need the VIN. It probably wouldn't hurt to take your registration and/or title if you have it.
