PRICE CHECK.....

i have one of the Gen1 hoods that has been "pre notched" for the two wheel vents, and the NACA duct. what would be a good/fair price for a body shop to ask to cut the hood, glass in the 3 vents and repaint. has anyone had this done on the type hood i am speaking of? As it seems it would be a little easier than on a reg. Gen1 hood that is not notched on the underside.

Hell, just chop it out! I would think you should be able to have it done for a grand or so, give or take a little, depending on the shop.

i would also add the center louver from the GTS race cars...
now that is a sweet hood!!!

my red '94 has the same situation. the hood was replaced with a new one in '98 due to small cracks.

Anyone had this done?? I would appreciate sharing exactly how much it costs & what to look out for...

Sell it and buy a Vipermed hood or a preowned genII.

I agree with TONY, being a owner of one of scotts masterpieces everyone who sees my hood goes bonkers!
