Wondering what the protocol is for getting a Viper inspected before buying? I ask from the purchaser point of view but want to be considerate to the seller as well.

Do you agree on a price first then meet the seller at a mutally agreeable Vipertech (hoping one is near by?) and then if anything is wrong neg the price from there??

No deal first.
Maybe a refundable deposit if the car does not check out? IN WRITING.
I would get the Viper Tech to look at it first-you don't want the car if it has too many problems or been in a wreck.
Saves time for you and for the seller. Time is worth $$ for everybody.
After the car checks out then talk your price.

Venomiss is right. The tech will probably find a few things even on a good car which would impact the price. You would want to use this information in the negotiation.

BTW, you don't necessarily need a Vipertech. An owner who has done a lot of work on his car can tell you if the car has been wrecked and if the maintenance was done well.

Fly me to Manhatten, and I'll inspect it for you. :)
