Found a 2006 viper new with a msrp of 85640. Dealer will sell for 72,300. will also lease for 72300.

Is this a fair price for a 2006 convertable?

Is leasing a good option for this kind of car
input is appreciated:)

Impossible to compare the 2 without details of the proposed lease. What's the $ down, payments and stated residual value.

leasing *****. I made the mistake of doing this a few years ago and canned the lease after few months. it ***** because your car is really someone else's and they tell you what you can and can't do.

just buy it, and buy it outright if you can.

Agree with you on this, especially for high end sports cars. Leasing is okay for daily drivers but not when it comes to sports cars. The lease payment will probably be between $1200 & $1500 for a 36 month term. Take than into consideration and you are at almost $40,000. You might as well just purchase the car at that rate and finance since your payment would be about the same for 60 months depending what is put down. The problem with the lease is if you want to get out of it, it is very hard, especially with a Viper. Finance it and you could sell it whenever you want.

Do not lease for sure, that is a losing propostion on a car like this. I wouldn't go into debt over a car, you will be sorry with their depreciation. If you can't afford it now, wait until you can. If you borrow $10,000, that might be OK but $72,000 with an average interest rate of 5.5-6.5 would not be a smart financial decision. Just my $0.02
