i’ve been away from vipers a while now but just bought another one and was wondering if VOI’s are still going on or have they been stopped?

Unfortunately we just haven't really had the opportunity to put any together for a while now. We've been dealing with getting the club's finances fixed after the major issues we had a while back and are happy to report that on that front at least we are all clear and back to normal operation. The problem with VOIs lately has been that it's just very hard to organize large events like that in a self sustaining manner, which at least personally is the only way I feel they should be managed (ie money from membership dues isn't used for anything, so people that don't attend aren't effectively paying for people that do attend). But you often can't book large venues or set up big events without deposits. It's also hard to pick a location that works for a lot of people. If you pick one of the coasts you sort of alienate the other side of the country, and if you pick something in the middle you might not get either coast. With social media nowadays it kind of feels like things have pivoted more to localized on the spot meetups.

thanks for the update - perhaps at some point the club might consider doing regional events but without a doubt bills come 1st- thanks again
