I have 4 sports cars and they are all coupes including my 02 ACR. I personally don't like roadsters but to each is own.

I don't like how the rear ends look on the RT-10s and SRT verts. This is like us GTS owners asking "Don't you wish you could change the look of the rear end when you go cruising?"

At times. If there was a "targa" Gts option I probally would have went for one of those. Best of both worlds then.

I meant more weather-wise.You can get best of both worlds.I actually don't like the hatchback-type look on the GTS that much with that big back window, huge rear fascia etc...

Nothing IMO like cruising with the top off in a viper.

I have had both...The RT is nice for a while but I got sick of the looking cool but hot and sweating at the stop lights kinda thing...The RT looks great with the top off...When you put the roof on it ruins the look of the car...I put my roof on once and took it off after one look...Al

Depends on the climate.
Maybe 10 days of the year here on Long Island you get that perfect vert day, the rest of the time your either sweating to death at every stoplight or driving with the heat blasting. But the sticky humid summer days are too hot unless your constantly moving.

RT/10 is to hot in the sun, you can't lock it up when you stop somewhwere and with the top on, it looks like a guy wearing a rug.

to each their own:drive:

I like to have a targa style GTS, however it was never made. If it was, I would have bought that.

The ACR doesn't have AC so I ALWAYS have the windows down. Drag racing with gear on, in 95 degree heat is no joke.

I have a daily driver Miata that the top is down on most of the time. I plan on getting a GenIII vert as soon as I am sure they aren't killing the Viper then I'll have both.

I don't even like sunroof's. If I wanted to cruise with the top down I'd get a 76 Caddy Eldo.

Occasionally I wish I had a car that the roof came off but the number of nice days around here are far and few apart.

I wouldn't trade the looks of the GTS for anything but it would be nice if my Z06 was a vert. :dunno:

Only when its reall hot outside and I forget to turn the AC on immediately when I start the car. Then a bit of breeze would be welcome...the GTS is almost perfectly designed to let ZERO face-cooling wind in the cabin even with the windows down.

I would like to have both some day and appreciate the wide, flat look of the RT/10, but for me, I think the coupe looks better.

that is a tough question....thats why i have both. for short runs in good weather Its the RT. for the long runs or real hot weather or chance of rain..then the GTS. For looks...well they both have great looks. the rear end on the RT looks better but the hard top on the GTS gives the car a more Wicked look to it.
the RT looks fun and the GTS has a look of "get out of my way"
my .02.

I love the GTS looks. I love the lower drag co-efficiency of the fastback. I love the stereo in the GTS. If I had a vert I'd always have the top up. I love the quiet of the GTS no matter what speed you're going (except the exhaust of course).

The Gen 3 trunk leaves enough room to keep a golf bag. My wife takes 3 suitcases and they fit in the GTS with tons of room left over. When I go to the car show the GTS fits my large display sign behind the seats (2' x 3') with no problem, and suitcases, rags, polishes, spare tire, etc. 12 cubic feet of cargo space. My wife also shops a lot so an R/T or RT10 would need a trailer. I put a lot of highway miles on my car so the GTS is necessary. I also like the rear exit exhaust (with headers and Corsa track it's quiet only when cruising in high gear). I've got an awesome stereo and soon Bluetooth.

You just can't touch the looks of the GTS. It is the best looking car ever made, IMHO.

To make up for the lack of air that the RT affords, I just keep the windows wide open and crank up the AC.
