You need to take a ride in a Blown Viper and all your questions will be answered immediately!
Sticky tires help with the 1st/2nd gear traction. You learn quickly how to control your right FOOT!
Steetable? My Heffner SC'd GTS couldn't be any better for the street! :2tu:

My car is definitely very streetable with over 800 rwhp. I can break the tires loose pretty much at will, but it is still very driveable.

If you hit the pedal hard it will break the tires loose (not just in 1st and 2nd). Learning how to "pedal" the accelerator to keep it at the point of maintaining traction while at the same time maximizing power put down to the road is the key to getting the most out of the power.

I think 650 rwhp is a great street power level. Of course, like anything else, you get used to it and then you want more.

Well, I'm new to vipers and driving this 680 beast is a challenge. Dump clutch just a tad to fast and your spinning rubber. Come around a corner and jump on it to fast and here comes the rear-end. But it feels pretty controllable once you get use to it. I would say that driving these cars is an experience like no other. Can you say "feather the gas".

If you stab the throttle in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, expect to burn up your tires. I've found that a progressive "rolling on" of the throttle helps to control wheel spin. Like Gary said, you will learn to get into the throttle just below the point of losing traction. Many other factors come into play also, such as ambient temperature, road surface, tires, etc. One last piece of advice, never nail the throttle unless your front wheels are straight. Good luck. :2tu:
