I bought mine brand new, (Jan 5th, 2000) and I have finally given up on that "free membership". It aint gonna happen. I have been patiently waiting (and shirttailing) since I bought the beast- to no avail. I will start sending my check to the local VCA membership chairperson.
Yes, VCA is worth it if you are interested in any of the activities, or take advantage of all that free advice you can get here (from gurus like JonB). I guess my membership costs went to help pay severence for all those good Chrysler execs who are now out fishing...
