looking for drag radials for a set of ccw rims i have that i want to be able to drive to and from my local track. i was wondering if the m&h 390/40/17 will fit on a 96 Gts with kw coilovers. the specs are 14.30'' section width, 12.50'' tread width and 29.50'' tall. i know that it is a bit big but would it work with the coilovers is my only question. thanks in advance

I use the Hoosier DOT Drag radial in 335/35-17. I think the one you picked is too tall, but others may prove me wrong.

Based on my experience with 28" tall ET streets you will have to do work to get them on due to the height. I also have the Hoosier drag radial. It is the same tread width as the M&H but I don't think it is street legal if that matters to you. Doesn't have a treaded look either. MT has a 315/17 with tread.

I know quite a few people who've had good luck with the Hoosiers, plus I will be buying a set for my car.

I ran the 17" Hoosiers and liked them, but with the 3.07 rear, I could not get above 120 without hitting the rev limiter in 3rd gear. They are not all that tall. I switched to 18" wheels to go to the taller MT ET Streets and pick up about 7 MPH in 3rd. They are 28.49 inches tall and barely clear the wheel wells on a stock ride height. I have not been to the strip with them yet. I felt a lot more comfortable doing street driving on the MT ET Streets as they have a tread pattern unlike the Hoosiers that only had two grooves. They are 345's which are a little wider than the Hoosier 335's also.
