This mile thing has really got me interested...So I have some questions...

Ive read that the stock gen 4 Vipers are running 173 mph in the mile...

Also that stock C6Z06's are running 166 mph in the mile...

Also of a ZR1 that hit 179 mph stock...

Anyone know what a stock gen3 will do?

Anyone know what a stock gen2 will do?

What about a basic paxton gen3?

Thanks for any help and Im just curious

Anyone know what a stock gen2 will do?

In Oct 97 at the Texas Mile, I ran three passes @ 166. Best pass was at 166.9 with a 96 GTS. That day there was about a 10 - 15 mph headwind and it was in the lower 90's. Only mods on the 96 GTS is a Borla exhaust, K&N FIPK, and 3.55 rear end.

Altitude makes a difference. I think those are sea level times.

Stock Gen 2 and Gen 3 both go about 160 mph at the Nebraska's Sandhills Open Road Challenge standing mile. (Altitude, 2700 feet)

Brake Dust, "9400 feet" sounds more than a little off (yes, I realize you could be joking).

Official site for Las Vegas Motor Speedway says:

"Elevation: 1950 feet Latitude: 36.270124 Longitude: -115.011621 GPS: N 36 16.2074, W 115 0.69726 Time zone: PST/PDT..."

Im still trying to figure out why the SRT10 and GTS are so close...

I remember the SRT10 could hit the 1/4 mile in 119-123 mph while the GTS was 117-121 mph...

I remember the SRT10 hitting 150 mph in 19.5 seconds while the GTS hit the same in 21.5 seconds...

But at one mile they are both 160????

Is the GTS more arodynamic?
