Hello everyone. I’ve owned a 2010 dodge viper srt convertible for about 5 years now. I love it but I’ve been itching for a possible trade on a newer model. 2013-2015. Some 2013’s have showed recalls such as these :p18 P52 R14 R29 performed on the vehicles at about 4500-6000 miles. Here’s one example-
2013 DODGE SRT VIPER GTS
VIN: 1C3ADEBZ9DV400542.
I am a car enthusiast as far as speed and aesthetics but have no clue on what makes them run…
My question is, should I be concerned on the model year gen 5 and should I stay away? Thank you

Sammy, welcome to the world of Vipers !!
You have raised the question on recalls...especially for 2013 and 20q4 model years. I suspect that many could write a book here...but is not going to be me today. If you have a Viper VIN to question, go here:

This site will give you the recall status along with a full explanation of same.

You mentioned R 29 ( which we had performed on our 2014)...but to me, the R 28 was the big question.

If you wish to discuss the topic, just call me and I will give you an overview. 317-402-9013.

Good luck with your Viper hunt !!

Hey Steve, so I checked a vin on the Mopar Recall site for a 2015 vpr srt and it says that the R29 was done. Is there a reason a 15 would have that done other than precautionary.?!
