THE BEST PART ABOUT THE RUN - THE TIME OF COURSE BUT I DIALED IN AT 11.55 AND HIT
IT PERFECT. :headbang: DONT KNOW IF I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO DO THAT AGAIN.

KNIGHT VIPER TOOK THIS PIC OF THE RUN, YOU CAN SEE MY DIAL TIME DISPLAYED AT
THE TRAPS - SHOWING 11.55, THE TIME SLIP IS THE TELL ALL.

********** RAN STOCK TIRES 24PSI REAR - 40 PSI FRONT ***************

AWESOME driving Tom! What a gratification it was to see a viper driven to its potential, three runs all within four hundredths of each other with one being an 11.554 in a stock car with stock tires, spinning out of the hole I might add. I know you’re not a professional racer, as some on here may assume with times like that but you sure handle you Viper like one, CONGRATS on your amazing run. Sounds like the perfect anniversary present to me, happy anniversary Tom! :2tu:

Wanted put on a driving clinic at Cecil County Dragway on Sunday. Puting together three straight passes in a Viper that were within four hundredth is amazing driving, Best I've seen by viper, a man's car that rewards dialed-in driving.

Great job, Wanted!

I personally watched his passes and discussed the result of each one with him. What a show!

Wanted and I were running in different classes. So no chance to line up together.

My times, bone stock on stock tires, were:

11.38 at 127.53 on a 1.93
11.31 at 127.52 on a 1.90

Both passes gave 100 in the eighth. Haven't got the launch dialed-in yet. But from the 60'-1320' I'm pretty much there, after 18 passes.

Those times for both the vette and viper might be the fastest in the world!
Although in chi-town you'd both be .5 slower.
What's the out the door price on a new Z06.I seem many around town these days.
How many Z06's are they making?

WANTED......nice work!!

How many Z06's are they making?

From what I have seen, at the present time MSRP for the most part if you're lucky.

Sure that they are not just C6 Vettes.......look pretty much alike to the
non-Vette enthusiast eye?

Still stamping them out.......my guess is 5k based on past production and the fact that they got a late start in the Z06 model production this year.

I was on a wait list for 18 months and got an MSRP deal ($70K w/o sales tax). No gas guzzler tax.

Demand currently exceeds supply. So dealer mark-up beyond MSRP is pretty bad in most cases.

GM had cranked out about 4000 of them by the end of March and expects to build about 5500 this year, according to postings on the Corvette boards.

Those are awesome times for both cars.

Ranger - what's that Z06 dyno at the wheels? 127 trap speed is flat-out incredible. Gotta like that light weight...

Yeah, Wanted is a machine.

The C6Z06 typically is pulling 450-460 rwhp (SAE). The car weighs 3132 with a full tank of fuel.

My 127.5 traps were at a DA of about 300 feet which is good air. But I also caught the shift pretty well right before the limiter. Did some lift on the 1-2 and 2-3 but powershifted the 3-4. The 60'-1320' segment of the run was 9.40. If I could have gotten the kind of launch that [b}Wanted[/b] did, then I'd have run 11.10. Hoping he'll give me a few pointers on the launch next time we hook up at the track.

I'm more amazed at the FIVE(5) MPH difference
between the viper and the vette. The weight diff
is 300lbs.That thing is pulling like my heads/cam
viper at 535RW,though in chi-town he'd lose a couple
mph.If Chevy came up with a new unique and or exotic
body style,I'd be driving one of those supersonic
grocery getters. :D
