Hello All,

Time to upgrade the safety of the GTS, I am looking for some info on my options for upgrading to 5-point racing harness. I would prefer a bolt in option and minimal cutting of interior parts. What are my options? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I would suggest the TeamTech 6 Point Belts, especially if your using the stock seat. Jon B @ PartsRack may have them on hand in the color of your choice.

I'm happy with my TeamTech 6-points, but only after cutting off all that damned extra padding. I bought from JonB, but have subsequently seen them elsewhere for MUCH less. Worth shopping around for.

Be sure to check the installs area of this site for the Cone's install info, it's invaluable.

Thanks you guys for the recommendations. :) I plan on going for the 6 point system. Is there any options I specifically have to order? I see a few different configuration options on the Teamtech site? Which one do I want? Thx.

actually after al the bitchin and whinning, the install was quite easy. as for the slots cut out, you can really fix em up however you like so they look clean. i initially bought two seatbelt bezels, heatgunned them to flatten them out and put them over the slots to give it all a clean look but now im lookin got get two brushed aluminum pieces to do the job as itll also look good with the interiors cosmetic fluff

Rich,

If the bezels turn out nice, please forward a PIC. I've always wanted to find something classy but just don't have enough time in the day. Thanks!

I would recommend the quick release style and have them include the grade 8 bolts while your purchasing the belts.

You will need to select pull up or pull down for the lap belts. I have pull up and LOVE them.

All belts from major manufacturers will serve the safety function in a crash, but the Teamtech are good looking and comfortable - something you can enjoy everytime you use them - not just in a crash.

The ACR belts were recalled and most people replaced them with TeamTech. Teamtech belts were also the first choice in the Comp Coupe.

Good Information guys. Thanks. Looking at the TeamTech site it looks like I need the RamPac Part#6004 Rotary Buckle Snap-In 6Pt, correct? As for color, it looks like you can get a two tone combination. Having a FE I was thinking Red with white or silver accents. White may not be a good choice since it probably get dirty really quick. Anyone know if you can get these combinations? Thanks.

you can get any combination. Go for a 3fer. I'd do red pads with white belts and black pulls. White won't get any dirtier than silver.

You could also do red webbing with white pads and black pulls.

I have the Teamtech 6 pt and think they are awesome. I have had Sparco and Simpson in the past. The extra padding is what makes them so superior - in the event of a crash, the padding serves to disperse the pressure over your entire chest. They can neatly be tucked behind the seat without uninstalling them, which is very nice. I got black belts and pads, with yellow pulls for safety and visibility.
