I purchased a big brake kit (Stoptech) from RSI out of Bridgeport, TX close to 3 months ago for my 96 Viper GTS. I was told it would take about 2-3 weeks for the brakes to ship. After a month I called RSI to check the status and was told that Stoptech was notorious for taking their time and that they would call them and get to the bottom of it. I tried to call Stoptech, but they needed a P.O....and they only deal with distributors, not direct with the public. I exchanged e-mails with RSI over the course of the next month and a half politely inquiring about the status....to no avail. I finally asked RSI if they could give me a P.O. number so that I might call Stoptech to verify what they were telling me. RSI emailed me the P.O. number. I called Stoptech and gave their service rep the P.O. He was taken aback and couldn't believeRSI had done that. I explained the problem I was having and he said he would call me at the end of the day and give me an answer on my brakes. He asked me if I had paid a deposit on my brakes and I told him no, I had paid for them in full. Later that afternoon, I received a call from Stoptech. They told me that my brakes have been ready to ship, but they were on hold awaiting payment from RSI. I was pissed...but maintained my composure. The Stoptech rep also explained to me a few other things that I am not at liberty to discuss. Has anyone else had any problems like this from RSI? Any input that might help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric
