The raffle drawing is supposed to start in an hour. Is it going to happen as advertised? I see nothing in the non-member section. Any news in the Member Only section?
I don't see any reason it wouldn't go on. They'll find some way to make it happen. I don't see why people are complaining about it to begin with. If someone was giving you a free car you'd find some way to make it work. Worst case just say you bought the car for $100 (or whatever you paid for your tickets).
Because it appears to many that it is an unlicensed raffle, at least in Nebraska. You may have bought the car for $100 but when the state seizes it, your happiness would fade, not to mention those who spent hundreds on tickets for a potentially unlicensed multi-state lottery.
By the way, I am not complaining, I was simply asking if it was going forward.

You're just an "enthusiast", why do care....................................
The raffle wasn't being held in Nebraska anyway as it turns out. Woodhouse commented on it elsewhere, but despite what the ticket says it's not being held at the dealership, the car is just there.
Our phones did not ring by now. Guess not.Cut to the chase. Did I win?!
So where is it being held?
I think the Michigan club where the raffle originated, but I'm not sure on that. Just going off of what I've read about it in various places.
Tickets used in a licensed raffle, except those used for in-house raffles (see In-house Raffles), must contain specific information. Raffle Rule R 432.21506 requires that each ticket contain at a minimum the following information printed
in a clear and legible manner:
•The name of the licensee. Only the licensee can be listed as the sponsor of the raffle.
•The license number.
•The word “raffle.”
•The date, time, and location of the drawing.
•The price of the raffle ticket.
•A unique sequential identification number on the raffle ticket and ticket stub.
•The top prize or other information as directed by the bureau.
•The stub of the ticket retained by the licensee
shall contain a space for the purchaser's
name, address, and phone number.
Raffle tickets may contain other information as long as it does not conflict with these requirements. Some commonly accepted items are: “Tickets compliments of...”, “Proceeds to benefit...”, “Support provided by...”, and coupons for discounts at local merchants. did last years have them ? was last years a legal raffle ?
Last year's had Michigan Raffle License R13066 printed on them
Do this year's tickets have the location of the drawing printed on them? If so, what does it say?
Never asked us if they could print our name on a ticket, just asked if we cared if the raffle was drawn here since the car was coming here. We said fine, but found out it was probably not appropriate under Nebraska Law and told them sorry it could not be done here. Chrysler/SRT can not do these as the cars have to go through Dealers, and so we , Tomball and others have done these to help out VCA over the years. Never been to a raffle, don't have a clue what is done, as we have only been the conduit the car went through, but could care less where they draw this - we just told them we could not do it.
Yup, Woodhouse SRT in Blair Nebraska
Now that's funnyThe real ****** is I'm having a party at my house in two weeks to reveal the raffle car to friends and family. Sort too late to cancel that. Won't be much of a celebration without the car there.
