Well, it finally happened. My long overdue blast with my friends machine on the highway. Was I nervous. Second friend with SRT in area. Silver. We headed towards LI near the Hamptons when all of a sudden he gets freaky on me and decides to run me. We were about 60 and he flashes away..I can say she looked good taking off on me. Then I couldn't resist.. I drop the hammer and line up near her At about 75....Yeah baby..he will never disrespect another GTS again...When we came off the exit, a few teenagers where asking me if that other car was a Supra.hahahaahah I was dying....Anyway, I couldn't say who won, but I made him respect the GTS FOREVER... :D

I'm finally seeing a few GEN III's around here (2 red, 1 black) and they do look good. Would I trade my 97 GTS+cash for one? No. Will I ever own one? Yes.

I would like to get a chance at a GEN III like you did, can't wait for it!

I'll go on the record as possible one of the first to run an SRT, last summer, I think Julyish and pulled him on every gear change as I knew the car and the driver of the SRT was giving the winner of a raffle a ride in the car from a Mopar car show I was in.

Not representitive of what the car can do so I reserve judgement on lack of driving skill and knowledge on shift points etc. I will say that the cars are so close in roll ons that if either car misses a shift point by a few hundred RPM either way the other car is going to pull, that's my take on it.

After attempting to road race my car last weekend we can debate the styling, the marginal if any improvement in performance, but the braking system is a different level from GenII. Hats off to the braking team on the SRT, now if we could just ship them around to different areas......:)
