Im not really new to the performance world but havent seen anything this drastic. I bought a 04 modified viper from nevada. Drove it 1700 miles home, ran mint. Its got the vec 2 computer on it. Got home washed the car to get it ready for the car show in minneapolis. 30 min later smoke was pouring out the drivers side exhaust. passanger side was fine. I heard some storys about the computer getting wet so i popped the hood and noticed it was in a great location if your looking to soak it. The fuel is so bad there has to be 4 injecters wide open on the drivers side. I went through 15 gallons in 20 minutes. I pulled the computer out and put some air to it and re set the battery and the problem exists.

Anyone have problems with this? Im thinking the computer is fried but without software to look at duty cycle and to see what the computer is doing i can be sure yet. ONe side of the motor mint the other blowing fuel out

your thoughts?

I'm not sure the duty cycle will show you what the vec2 is doing. Sure does sound like you could have gotten it wet though. You either need to swap out vec2's with someone or send it to Roe Racing and let them test it. If your injectors are stock or close, you could take the vec2 out of line and see what happens. You do not want to run it much (if any) without checking... fire hazard with that much fuel.
The vec2 should be attached with velcro.....put it in a baggy when you wash the car. The normal vec2 place on a gen2 seems to stay dry....I'm not familiar with where the gen3's normally mount.

raw fuel is also really, really bad for the pistons. don't want to wash out the rings.
