Congrats in advance; What Year is your car?

Be careful and TAKE YOUR TIME you'll be ultra excited when you start opening your boxes and very anxious to to finish. Seeing all those shiny parts laid out for the first time is a trip. Take lots of pictures and notes throughout the process, if you ever have to take it apart it's not going to be as fresh in your mind a year later. The intructions are very detailed, Sean really does great work. Nice Garage, Very Clean. Is that paint or tile on the floor?

P.S. - Don't forget to put your FUEL PUMP FUSE back in at the end. When I was finished I couldn't get the car started and after two calls to Sean and 1 hour later I realized the instructions didn't include that part. Pretty stupid, but it scares the hell out of you when it doesn't start after all that work. Also after your done you may want to take it to a Dyno/tuner shop and check your A/F and to double check your work for good measure before you romp on it.

Your half done.Don't forget to PIN THE CRANK. Rick

My first installer did not do this and the hub bolt was finger tight by the time I got the car home. If you don't have a right angle drill, borrow one, your gonna need it. You will love the Roe blower, what lb pulley are you planning to run? :usa:

This can be an enjoyable experience if you have ALL the tools in advance.Torque Wrenches- two ranges are needed 250ftlb and 15ftlb

*Drill-I used a Milwaukee Close Quarter drill
that has the correct angle.(Home Depot)
*Titanium Drill Bit-The bit provided took 15 min
the titanium bit 5min, to drill the crank.
*Soldering Iron-Unless you have the correct tool
to crimp the injector connectors.
*A helper to lift the S/C into position without
smearing the gasket cement and to lock the
brakes to remove the hub bolt.

Dodge engineers did not key the crank which would prevent the pulley from turning if the bolt came loose. It doesn't help that the bolt is a right hand thread. Sean provides a fixture and pins to fix this.It requires that you remove the crank bolt, which you can do while your waiting for the boxes, install the fixture which acts as guide while drilling and insert the pins. When you replace the bolt use thread locker and torque to 250ft lbs. There have been several posts about the crank bolt backing out and damaging the crank WITHOUT the S/C. The added load from the S/C will not help matters. It takes 1/2 hour. Rick

I will have to be patient before I get this SC running.
My crankshaft bolt WAS MISSING !!!! I was running like this since 2000mi .... I will have to wait at least until Tuesday to get a new crankshaft bolt.

In addition the drive belt coming with the kit is too long I don't have Air conditionning. My car is an ACR. Sean will look for a solution.

Congratulations! I have a Roe 8LB blower and I love everything about it. I know that there are a lot of great tuners out there but Sean Roe is at the top of my list as well as Jason Heffner only because I've personally dealt with these guys. Sean Roe stands behind his product and his customer service is out of this world. Do not be scared to call Sean if you run into any problems. I called Sean at least 8 times while I was installing my blower and he got me through every problem with flying colors. The only problem that I was really concerned about was after the install was completed. I would advise you to get your car dyno'd after you get the blower installed. The main reason for this is so that you know that your car is putting out the proper rear wheel hp/torque that it's suppose to put out. I had this problem with my blower. After the install, I was only putting out 555rwhp/585rwtq with a 8LB blower. I called Sean because the numbers were so low and he immediately knew what the problem was. The throttle was only opening at approx. 75% at wide open throttle. It was just a simple throttle adjustment that I needed to do. If I wouldn't have dyno'd the car, then I would not have known that I was cheating myself out of valuable horsepower. Good Luck and Enjoy!

And last week my Viper was in for a service and nobody has seen it ...

Why would a mechanic check the bolt torque? It's not a part of routine maintenance. Access is limited and it's difficult to see without a small mirror. Could it be a Viper only issue? Does the truck engine have a keyed crank?
If DC had enough warranty claims from damaged engines their solution would be to check the torque but does this correct the problem?

Any Viper owner who buys Roe's kit and lives near Leesburg VA is welcome to use my torque wrench and drill so they can PIN THE CRANK(easy to do with the hood removed) :2tu:

SORRY more questions than answers, this happens when you get older. Rick

I will order a new bolt on Monday ... not a big deal.
However I was very lucky !
I have all the tool to torque the bolt.
For the moment I am busy with the installation.
I have things to do until Monday.

To-day I installed the two high flow Cats but I am wondering if they have any use. They are really small. I better install straight pipes. Anyhow the check engine light will come on.
