I visited with 2 officers during my VOI trip. I think the Montana cop just wanted to look at my car when stopped (not ticket). The Detroit cop said that even if I was going 150mph he wouldn't give me a ticket unless I was doing something stupid like weaving in and out of traffic.

Neither asked for my autograph. Actually, I've never gotten a ticket in my Vipers. Stopped, but warnings each time (6 times stopped). I do average about 1 speeding ticket a year in my Stealth TT though.

I was driving our 01 ACR yesterday down a 4 lane country highway here in montana and there was a sheriff up ahead. The speed limit was 70 and I kept it right at 70, he was doing about 65... I slowed to 68 and slowly went by him, he just looked over, smiled and gave me the head nod. I'm pretty sure he slowed just to see the car...

I was doing 85 in a 65 the other night down the highway. Saw a car come flying up behind me then slowly pass. I figured it was someone wanting to do some spirited driving but it turned out to be a sheriffs car. Passed me and kept going. Got about 50 yards in front of me and flipped on his lights. I just kept following till my turn off. Not sure what the hell he was doing.

I love Montana. When wife and I went through there on our way to VOI X a cop passed us going the other way. He turned around and slowly caught up to us, then pulled us over. He said I was going 95mph. I was going only 85mph (in a 75 zone) and told him that. He then said, "Oh well, must be tough keeping this car going that slow." I didn't have a clue what he was talking about. Later, I figured that he must have been joking? He gave me a weird look and said, "Watch out for Deer, there's a lot being hit on the road. Goodnight." I think he just wanted a closer look at the Sapphire Blue of my car. No police presence in montana and that's why I love the place!!!
