I gotta say the 2008 ACR is some kinda car and an extraordinary track car. Do your homework and ask questions. I am a Club roadracer, I used to run a track modified Gen 2. After all the knobs and settings here is what to do.
1-Lower the car first, before anything, ride height effects everything. At the factory ride height you can't dial in more then -1.7 front camber.
2-My suggestion is take it to a good alignment shop, have the lower it to 102mm front and 136 rear, align it at the same time good street/track is -2.0 front and -1.0 rear. My alignment guy whose been doing Vipers for 15 years says +7 front caster for high speed stability and neutral front toe, -.20 rear toe total.
3-Get the car corner weighted, anyone with scales and common sense can do it, make sure the sway bar is disconnected.
4-The rest can be done yourself, take each wheel off and adjust the compression/rebound setting. It is ridiculously easy, it's all finger turn. I believe the manual said start with 5/6 front and 4/5 rear respectively. I will track it tomorrow and make adjustments, also play with the dampening.
5-Stock brake fluid is good for 2 track days at 100 degrees. We flushed the brake system today with Motul 600, the old fluid was dark and maybe had one track day left.
I will continue to post updates for future owners who want to track their ACRs and not just visit them in the garage or drive to the local *******
