I gotta say the 2008 ACR is some kinda car and an extraordinary track car. Do your homework and ask questions. I am a Club roadracer, I used to run a track modified Gen 2. After all the knobs and settings here is what to do.

1-Lower the car first, before anything, ride height effects everything. At the factory ride height you can't dial in more then -1.7 front camber.

2-My suggestion is take it to a good alignment shop, have the lower it to 102mm front and 136 rear, align it at the same time good street/track is -2.0 front and -1.0 rear. My alignment guy whose been doing Vipers for 15 years says +7 front caster for high speed stability and neutral front toe, -.20 rear toe total.

3-Get the car corner weighted, anyone with scales and common sense can do it, make sure the sway bar is disconnected.

4-The rest can be done yourself, take each wheel off and adjust the compression/rebound setting. It is ridiculously easy, it's all finger turn. I believe the manual said start with 5/6 front and 4/5 rear respectively. I will track it tomorrow and make adjustments, also play with the dampening.

5-Stock brake fluid is good for 2 track days at 100 degrees. We flushed the brake system today with Motul 600, the old fluid was dark and maybe had one track day left.

I will continue to post updates for future owners who want to track their ACRs and not just visit them in the garage or drive to the local ******* :D

Those are the recommend "smooth track" ride heights. I was planning on having Woodhouse set mine up with the "rough track" heights of 111/140 mm, but I'm going to drive my car to and from events. Do you think the heights you mentioned will work well on the street?

Thanks for the setup info SoCal.

I have a standard 08 but also highly recommend switching to the Motul RBF 600 brake fluid. I also went with Stoptech stainless steel brake lines. This is all relatively cheap insurance. After doing a few track schools on the 2008, the most reassuring thing about the car are the brakes.

California roads are pretty smooth as are the tracks 9mm front = about 1/3 inch not much. Tracked the ACR today at Willow Springs and knocked off 2 seconds to 1:31.xx, car still needs to be lowered.

The ACR alignment and ride heights are specific to it because of the aerodynamic forces. The rake front to rear is about 1/2" more on the ACR's setup than our regular Moton cars because of this added down force. The same is true for overall ride height as this will change much more with the ACR's aero than the regular car will at speed.

Would the setup be the same for a non ACR 08? I realize you can't adjust the ride height with the stock shocks.
