Got a brand new 10ml vert sitting in my garage (just delivered) waiting for the rain to stop for the first ride.

I just realized the hood gils/slits (whatever) look like when washing the car will run water right into the engine compartment.... I guess you just run the spray up the hood?

AHA! Told you dumb question.

We see very little water on the engine when we clean them,so I would not be concerned about this Ken. I imagine if you sprayed directly back towards the vents you could get more water under the hood, and good question , but it has not been a problem. So wash to your hearts content,ha.

Owners manual warns about avoid spraying directly into the vents. I also rinse "up the hood" as you described. What you really need to watch out for is high pressure against the headlights and the rear window (canvas not sealed to the glass). Many have experienced fogging/leakage in those areas.

I drive mine in the rain, I wash it 2 or 3 times a month, water will get in there, from the top and the bottom if driving in heavy rain like I did, and NO PROBLEMS....Not a dumb question at all...

This group is uasually responds harder than this but I think all vette's should come with a rainbow on the backend to identify they are all "***".
Don't worry your leaks can be dried, just remember, CSI can always determine the fluid content.
Just having fun with ya :)

I`m still wondering what a 10ml vert is.
From his signature, I'm going to guess "vert" is short for "convertable".

So, he has a 10 milli-liter convertable? Can anyone complete the translation? (Has 10 miles on his new convertable, perhaps?)

Ya know - I have a rule that, if I can't figure someone's license plate out in 5 seconds, I figure its not worthwhile that I know it. I wonder if I should be applying the same criteria to this?

Thank you Randy, Yes, I meant 10 miles on a new SRT-10. I'll use less abbreviations in the future

Ken, put the picture of the Vette up you sent me, guys, this is one nice Vette! Ken, as a fellow Vette guy I have to advise you that only Vette guys call convertibles "Verts" That's why the usual suspects are giving you trouble. But WE WANT PICTURES OF THE MAMBA!!!

I knew what the vert was but why would you have a viper with 10ml`s. Most are broke in between the dealers and the house, just can`t stop driving them.

I would probably love your "Vert". I met my wife in one 37 years ago and have hav several since. I was funn'n with ya because of thread title "Re: Really dumb question - I am prepared to be flamed :( "
If they created a monster I would still buy another.
