Rear End "clunk" at low speeds.

I hear and feel a 'clunking' type noise at low speeds mostly in 2nd or 3rd gear. It does not do this any other time and the car drives fine. BTW it is a 2003 model year. Thanks in advance !

Wouldn't that vibrate at higher speed? Although I do agree those items can clunk.

Easy items to check though... Put car in air, grab and twist.

is it when you accelerate and then ease off the gas when you hear the noise ? IF SO, I'm having the same issues and it's an '04 I got

Dustman, my situation feels the same as yours. It kind of feels like a backlash feel or if you were in 5th gear going 5mph. It has no vibrations or other problems. Kind of like a chugging feeling?:

"Backlash" Its normal. I have a 03 and mine does it to.
You can keep it from happening so often once you get
used to driving it.
