I've been thinking about removing the logos on my rear bumper to produce a smother, easier to wax, surface.

Has anyone else done this? How does it look?

No, we would not remove them, we enhanced them with the chrome lettering (black on black just didn't show up, the chrome offsets the letters and looks awesome!!!)....we prefer the words to stay on....but to each their own...good luck with however you want your own personal Viper to look!! :) ~juli~

I like the silver, tone on tone on my 05. I'm proud to have the Dodge badge and I don't think 75% of the people out there would know it's a Viper without it. IMO

You are quite right--we have the chrome logos that REALLY show up on the black, and we had a lady who was looking at the car say "WOW---is that an EXOTIC FOREIGN car????"...all while LOOKING at the DODGE emblem!!! LOTS of people do NOT know what this car is, and ask what it is, that it MUST be foreign!!! tooooo funny....:rolaugh:
~juli~
**We are also proud of the Dodge Viper, and want people to know what it is, hence the chrome lettering.

One of the main things I love about the Dodge Viper is, their rare. The SRT's are lower key but, you couldn't get by a blind man in the GTS.

It say's you NOT a reagular guy. Or girl:D

I like the fact that Dodge makes the Viper but their customer service & support ****. I am not embarrassed to own a Dodge; however, I do not want to give them any free advertising and besides, I think it looks better without the DODGE emblem on the rear.

Got to agree on this one. The same goes for dealers who plaster their names and logos on our cars or license plate frames. If they want us to advertise for them then pay us.

I removed all the logos and lettering on my viper and had custom chrome "Viper" only letters made up for the side sills. There was a group buy on these awhile ago from a club member and they were perfect. :2tu:

I refuse to take a license plate frame from a dealership--if they want me to use it, I tell them to take the TAXES off my car!!! It has worked several times!! *** for tat (no Chad, not the *** I'm talking about here!! ;) ).....I will not advertise free for any dealership, but I am proud to have a DODGE VIPER and have the chrome logos to enhance those words, also the SRT-10 on the sides. ~juli~

Like we all say NKBREKR (is that what it says? Like 'neck-breaker'/whiplash?!! LOVE it!), to each their own~~whatever floats anyone's boat is great! We certainly don't all have to have the same opinions nor the same-looking cars...our Vipers are all unique in their own way....more power to you for making yours original for yourself. ~juli~

Hey Juli,
You're correct, it is neck breaker, it has a double meaning, one can be for the whiplash effect and the other is for the amount of attention the car gets, most people twist their necks to catch a second look.

LOL---gotcha!! Yeah, that's what I say all the time about the car, and you have a very unique color, so you'd definitely get the 'WHAT THE &#*@ WAS THAT??!!"!!!!! VERY cool. We get those looks as well, and it's so funny, isn't it?? :drive: :2tu: ~juli~

I'll take the emblems off my black SRT-10 when it comes time to repaint it. They are black and you can't really see them.

I also have a VOI9 Coupe, white with blue stripes. It looked funny and incomplete without the blue side logos.

Personal preferences all.

Yeah, Viper X, since we have the black also, the letters didn't show up, that's why we chose to chrome them, to show them up, looks great! ~juli~
