Hi all,

I bought these wheels for my gen 2 as I've always loved the original 3 spokes. I didn't realize that the rear barrels made contact with the rear brake caliper assembly (ABS) until after they were mounted. This resulted in a slight impression inside the barrels. It won't be noticeable once installed unless you're looking for it.

They were refurbished at a wheel shop in Dallas and look brand new. I had Michelin PS2s mounted and balanced. The tires have 2024 date codes and have zero miles on them.

Asking $3000 OBO for the set which is less than what it cost me. I'll also trade them for a gen 2 hard top in yellow. I'm willing to meet anywhere in the DFW area. I can ship them too but at the buyer's expense.

I've never seen a weathered set for that price, much less with new tires mounted. I paid $2k for the wheels and $1800 for the tires. With tax plus the cost to mount the tires the total is well over $4k. I wouldn't bother with selling them if they'd fit.

Nobody is stupid, it's called education. Viper ownership is not a cheap sport. Full retail for G1 rims, coating process, tires & mounting all adds up for sure. Unfortunately G1 rims in any condition any color are the most least demand Viper rim. If you can get $2000 be very thankful. I have two sets one in paint one in chrome. The only time they get mounted is for a concours car show.

Oh I've learned that lesson well lol. What bothers me more than the Viper tax is the unavailability of various parts. It almost makes me consider selling mine but every time I go for a drive it changes my mind. You've got yourself a pristine looking example there. That paint looks fantastic!

When I bought the refurbished G1 set I thought $2k seemed reasonable. They were the only ones available so I couldn't find a price reference other than Viperpartsrack where they are NLA. It's too bad about the low demand for them. In my eyes they are one the most iconic wheel designs of all time.
