If you are talking about the new Borla system with the single muffler right before the tips, it will help some. It actually reduced drone on my car and made it somewhat louder. It still has more rasp to it than I like. I had the old Borla cat back on another car and liked it much better. I have Belanger headers and no cats. :usa:

Yes, and it will help reduce the drone, to some degree. I found my car, headers, RT High flow cats, was actually more pleasing to the wifey without the 2 rear muffs. It is louder above 4500 RPM, but sounds GREAT!
You can definitely hear the difference at the track - you can tell which car has a full Borla, Corsa, and a Borla with the 2 mufflers removed.

I am also thinking about removing the rear mufflers on my Borla. I would have thought it created more drone without the mufflers? I definitely want it to be deeper and louder so will removing the mufflers help or do I need to get the older Borla system? Thanks

I have old Borla with rear deleted. It is loud – so my neighbors know when I leave and come back home. They like it and I try to limit my nightly escapades. :D :D The sound is fantastic and intoxicating as I am told. With full throttle – you will be heard many blocks away. The sound is different than any other car – very deep and aggressive. On the negative side - after driving for 3 hours I need a break.

Go for it. The sound is really fantastic.

Baz - please keep us posted. I would greatly appreciate details on length of the pipe. While I am at it, I am thinking about replacing the tip as well. Thanks

All i did was remove the rear muffler and mesure it then put a 15 degree bend in at the end as the new tips slide on straight...
