My original 1994 top was damaged while being transported. Insurance company paid to replace it. I purchased one from a company in Florida (Hot Cars ?)
I just tried to install the top, but it's different than the original in that there are no thumb screws to hold the forward end of the side bars in place It appears that they are just supposed to stay in position. Problem is they don't. If I get one side to stay in, it pops back out when I attempt to slide the other side in. I'm not sure what year the top is that they sent. Is anybody else familiar with this style soft top, and is there some step that I am missing that will make this stay together ? I am attempting to assemble this while the top is upside down on a big piece of cardboard laid on the ground.

OK, found the sliding clips underneath. I must say the the thumb screws seemed easier. But can anyone tell me what year is this soft top ?

My 94 has the original sliding clips so your top may be a 94 or earlier
