I have an '05 copperhead and I'm thinking of replacing the "viper SRT10" decals on the side and the "DODGE" and "VIPER" decals in the back with a different color.

Question is, can the old ones be removed without damadging the paint? What's the best way to do it?

I changed mine on my Copperhead to Black carbon fiber decals. Looks great against the Copperhead color. Then later I removed the SRT-10 emblems that were carbon fiber and just had supercharged lettering made to go under the Viper.

The lettering is just double sided tape to car. So I had a plastic squegee to help lift a edge, then just grab it with fingers and peel off. You may need some adhesive remover to remove tape residue. Sometimes it comes off pretty cleanly, other times lettering leaves behing alot of residue. But it all comes off easliy. Ater cleaning off residue, I use soap and water to clean area. That way new lettering will stick.

I ordered domed lettering like the factory from RJ Distributing. They make alot of customer Viper lettering. Then I had a sign shop make my last set of small supercharged decals. Do it, you'll love the subtle new look.

Heres a pic with Black, carbon fiber lettering. sorry I dont have a closeup, but gives you a idea, how it makes the Viper lettering stand out, when its a different color then body color.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm certainly going to do it. imo the lettering get's lost too easily. Just need to decide between black or silver.

Also, in the repair manual I see they have the exact location laid out for placing the fangs emblem that is on the front on the side as well. I wonder if anyone has done this and if the have pix?

Hi, I found an older mention of buying lettering from RJ Distibuting. How do I get a hold of them, please? Would also like to change lettering colors on my yellow. Thank you, Sandy G.
