Replacing mid speaker (above glovebox) RT/10

I can't figure out how to get the thing to work again, so I think I might just replace it. I was never really impressed with the sound in the first place.

Anyone replace it? If so, what did you replace it with?

I replaced mine with a JL audio sub. Still doesnt hit hard, the whole system needs more amps.

With the open cockpitt design, you'll never get what you want out of it. That being said, I replaced all my speakers with Infinitys, They sound great up to 70 MPH

I have sony explods all around inside, they look great, they sound great but from what I hear that dont last great lol, but I have had mine for 9 months and BLAST them )have to got B&B exhaust) and no problems yet.

I can confirm that it does little good to put a sub in that little compartment... I put a 6.5 inch Rockford Fosgate woofer in there, replaced the amp in the trunk with a bigger Alpine, the head unit with a newer Alpine, and put Boston Accoustic pros in the doors. More than a grand later, it still sounds tinny when the engine's running and has no real bass.
Sounds pretty darn good when it's parked now, lol.
